Never Again. Part 2

The multitude of naked young, middle-aged and elderly victims scurried into a 30'x20' area which might easily be mistaken for a shower room. Shower heads on the walls. Drains on the floor.

... And then the cyanide pellets were dropped through a hole in the roof.

Of course, the women panicked and began to scream, and crawl towards what little air remained near the ceiling. When the outer doors were finally thrown open, what remained was a hideous pyramid of contorted humanity.

Nearby, stood the smokestacks in which countless dead were cremated during the course of the war; their cremains dumped rudely into a nearby pond; (which in modern times has been memorialized with markers inscribed with commemorative language).

The trio reach the outer fence. Several strands of wire have been stretched along the entire length of it; electrified to prevent any possibility of escape.

The former prisoner speaks,

"There were some who just gave up. A few flung themselves onto the fence, and they were gone in a moment. It was the only escape from their unceasing pain."

The absolute evil which ruled and reigned here was, and is, incomparable and incomprehensible. The millions who inhabited, suffered and died in such camps is nothing short of unfathomable.

Never!

Never Again!
