Broken Strings

There’s an old adage which says,

“Some relationships are meant to last a moment. Some a lifetime.”

And in theory, well,

… it’s a good theory.

But what causes the theory to be so troublesome is when half of the relationship perceives it as the permanent kind, and the other half is under the impression it is of the momentary kind.

Broken attachments are among the most difficult of all things to overcome.
