I was watching the afternoon news a while ago, and the anchorman
quoted something which our illustrious president had to say about the
Republican nominee Donald’s Trump’s words and behavior.
“At any
other time the stuff this guy is saying and doing would be thought of as
illogical and reprehensible, but during this campaign season, it’s like
anything goes, and people buy into anything.” (paraphrased)
And to be sure, I have little or no use for our ‘lame duck’ president,
Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, and am wrestling with the possibility
that I will be unable to vote for anyone this time around.
However…
In terms of the previous quotation, it immediately occurred to me that
this same thing might be said of Mr. O. and his cohorts; (including the
Democratic nominee for president).
There’s a rather poignant scripture that might have been written yesterday.
“What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that
dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is
bitter.” (Isaiah 5:20)
For this same man who spoke of the
reprehensible and illogical and people who ‘run after’ such words and
behavior has come out in support of Planned Parenthood and the wholesale
massacre of a million and a half unborn children in this country on a
yearly basis; most of which are sacrificed as a matter of convenience.
And this same individual recently dictated that ‘confused gender’ male
and female public school students will, henceforth and forever more, be
allowed to use the restrooms, locker rooms and showers of their choice. I
mean, in any other time and place this particular activity would be
referred to as ‘Lewd & Lascivious Behavior,’ the perpetrator would
be arrested, and he or she would spend time behind bars.
What at any other time would be thought of as illogical and reprehensible.
I can only agree with you, Mr. Obama.
