HURRICANE IRMA - NOTES

Friends and Relatives who live in Florida, I served with the National Guard after Hurricane Andrew, and I saw what a Category 5 storm can do to lives, homes and businesses.

The Weather Channel just informed its viewers that Hurricane Irma, with sustained winds of 185 mph, and gusts over 225 mph, is the most powerful storm ever recorded in the Atlantic Basin.

If this nasty thing comes our direction, and if it remains a Cat 4 or 5, I would highly encourage you to pack your belongings, photos, documents, etc. and GET OUT OF DODGE. Drive north. Mortar and brick can be rebuilt.

You and your loved ones have only been given one life. And honestly, as the authorities told the folks who insisted on staying in their homes during Hurricane Harvey, if you stay, (and this thing remains a major hurricane) I'd encourage you to write your names and social security numbers on your arms so...well, you know.
