The Transgender Bathroom Policy

I have previously written about the following topic, but feel inclined to revisit it again.

There is a popular trend among Politically Correct liberal society in America to solicit “the powers that be” for “the rights” of so-called transgender students and adults to use school and public restrooms of their choice; (rather than according to the gender which nature assigned them at birth).
I grew up during the tumultuous 60’s when the Civil Rights Movement was in “full swing.” I remember the black and white water fountains and restrooms, and the white and negro “separate, but equal” school system of that era. I was approaching graduation when the first “sample” of African-American students were introduced to my high school; 8 or 10 in all, and the best and brightest of the bunch. And they had hardly walked across the threshold of my alma mater, and “gotten started good” when I wondered “what the hoopla” was all about. I, for one, detest the notion that many of my ancestors owned slaves, and profited by the practice.
Be that as it may, and though so-called trans-genders attempt to identify with the inequities visited upon the black population of the past couple of centuries, many fair-minded citizens of this great nation would “beg to differ.”
It seems strange to me that the move to “integrate” formerly uni-gender bathrooms is only as old as yesterday, when viewed in the light of the centuries- old struggle of people of color to claim the rights guaranteed them by the Constitution.
Throughout the course of the almost seven decades I have lived on this planet there was never any thought or consideration for allowing a male to stroll into a female bathroom or a female to darken the door of a male bathroom. Had I, as a high school student, stepped into the girl’s bathroom or locker room, I would have been expelled, and might have been remanded to a juvenile facility.
Where are the rights of the majority? Since when does the (less than) 1 percent dictate something of such a fundamental, private nature to the 99 percent? (A significant percentage, if the truth be known, will prefer to “hold it” than place themselves in the company of the genetically opposite gender in the confines of a public bathroom).
What are we to do with the sensibilities of our girls and women when so-called transgender females, (and perhaps pretenders) walk into what has ‘til now been their private sanctum? And what of the girls and women, who for lack of comfortability with the anatomy with which they were born, decide to use the male bathroom?
Has any consideration been given to the safety of both the majority and minority, if and when transgender restrooms become the law of the land? What of the shouts for justice when a so-called transgender female assaults a biological female in her own bathroom? What will be the repercussions when a so-called transgender male is raped in the process of utilizing the men’s restroom?

The so-called LGBT Community, ACLU, CNN, etc. are, as I write this blog, actively promoting an agenda which goes far beyond a consideration for equity.  These and other liberal organizations are all about the slow, and steady dismemberment of the rights of the majority; in exchange for whatever cause is deemed Politically Correct at the time.
