Wisdom Not to be Patient

As I was scrolling through a social media page today, I noticed a curious, but actual photo of a dog standing a couple feet away from a skunk while he (or she, it was impossible to be sure) devoured his (or her, same comment) meal.

The caption?

"Two necessary traits:

Wisdom & Patience"

... Hmmm

In my estimation, in this case the quality of Wisdom would have been more than enough. Forget the Patience part! The think the ole boy (or girl) would have been better to just "get the heck outta Dodge!"

... (That ole skunk could have "gone off" at any moment).

And I think sometimes we would do well to learn from the foregoing scenario. There are times when the presence of both traits, Wisdom and Patience, are ill-conceived, (when one would have been enough).

And I think the best example of this philosophy is when what we regard as a good plan, perhaps even (our perception of) God's plan

... turns to dust before our eyes.

Sometimes Wisdom dictates that we "just pick up" and go on down the proverbial road

... (and practice Patience another day).
