SEASONS (a.k.a. Past & Present)

One season he was Melchizedek, the high priest of Salem. The next season He is Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, and the High Priest of heaven.

One season he was Abram of Ur. The next season he is Abraham, the father of nations. One season he was Isaac, the sacrificial offering of Mt. Moriah. The next season he is alive and well, and the grandfather of the nation of Israel. One season Joseph was in prison and accused of rape. The next season he is prime minister of Egypt. One season Moses was a baby boy in danger of being slaughtered by Pharaoh. The next season he is the adopted grandson of this same Pharaoh. (And the next season, he is the savior of the Jewish people and leads them into the promised land).

One season she was Ruth, the Gentile, a gatherer of grain. The next season she is the wife of Boaz, the landowner, and grandmother of a king. One season he was Samuel, the promised son of Hannah. The next season he is the outspoken prophet of God. One season he was David, the obscure shepherd boy. The next season he is the slayer of Goliath, and great king of Israel. One season she is Esther, the Jewish concubine. The next season she is Queen of the Persian empire.

One season Peter was a lowly fisherman. The next season he is an Apostle of the Christian faith. One season Saul was the persecutor of the Church. The next season he assumes the name of Paul, is the Apostle to the Gentiles, writer of scripture, and prisoner of the Lord.

One season Jesus was the lowly son of a carpenter. The next season He identifies Himself as the Son of God, ultimately dies for the sins of all mankind, is raised to life again, ascends into heaven, and rules and reigns forevermore.

Hang in there. Your season is about to change.
