It’s a small
world after all.
The name of
an oft-sung song. (But it truly is a small world after all).
One of my foreign
social media friends, “Brigitte,” made me aware that her son was acquainted
with two of the victims of the recent massacre in Paris; sisters,
Anna and
Marion Petard Lieffrieg
Two dear young
ladies, and another ten and a half dozen, so rudely deprived of their lives; when eight
demented terrorists intruded into a realm into which they were never meant to
intrude.
France’s own
911
I think when
representatives of mankind take it upon themselves to play God, the world
becomes a much lesser and poorer place for their having done so.
Such an inestimable
loss, and all the more so, the unexpected, unfair, too soon passing of the
young; among whose class were included the majority of our French brothers and sisters
who fell in one day.
Such rich
potential so rudely stripped from persons, more worthy than they who offended
them, and so quickly stolen from us.
… And who
passed from this world in a moment.
The vision,
the abilities, the very destinies of such precious people of excellence.
… Never to
be realized,
but as still
as his or her heartbeat who first dared to dream the dreams they dreamed.
May God hold
them safely in His loving arms, and assuage the grief of them whom they left
behind.
