THE WORTH OF A SINGLE SNOWFLAKE

 4326

Once, when we visited West Virginia it began snowing outside our rental cabin. And it occurred to me to watch the downward flight of one particular snowflake. I have made a point to remember that snowflake, though it landed, melted and evaporated years ago.
Perhaps I remember it because of the intrinsic worth our Lord has afforded to you and me. God invested His amazing handiwork into a tiny, momentary snowflake that many will never notice apart from the multiplied millions of its sibling snowflakes that make up a snowbank. (And yet, when viewed beneath the lens of a microscope, each frozen crystal is beautiful, intricate and altogether singular).
How much more creativity and beauty (and expectation) does He invest in the lives of those whom He loved and came to save?
