I'm employed as a Human Resources Manager with a local concrete construction company, and one of my duties includes doing a weekly safety meeting; just prior to our men and women heading out for the job site. And since all three officials in our small company are Christians, and have made a decision to accept Jesus, and make Him our Lord and Savior, I share a spiritual story, or scripture with the crew; about a man who lived 2,000 years ago.
... Who claimed to be more than a man.
We live in a day when the average
person will tell you that one religion is as good as another, and that if there
is a hell, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, or any other religion will help you
avoid it, and prepare you to meet God and live in His heaven.
We live in an age of political
correctness. When this or that sports or movie star says something the public
causes him to regret, he or she apologizes.
However, Jesus simply wasn’t
politically correct, and He made a claim for which He never apologized.
As we read the New Testament we read
His claim,
“I am the Way, the Truth, the Life.
No man comes to the Father but by Me."
I would encourage you to examine His
claim that He is the only possible way into God’s heaven, and make a decision
to follow Him. Millions have already made that choice over the past 2,000
years.
What will you do with the man, the
God-man who refused to be politically correct, and who never apologized for His
claim to be the way, the truth and the life?
